Bayern Munich Reach Quarterfinals After Victory Over PSG

Bayern Munich have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League after forcing their way past Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-0 win that secured a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Eric Choupo-Moting punished his former side PSG as they once again crushed out of the Champions League quarterfinals for a second straight season.

Second half goals from Chopping-Moting and Serge Gnabry ensured Bayern progressed to the last eight for a fourth successive season.

The Bundesliga giants were by far the better side in the entire 90 minutes but were thankful for Mathijs de Ligt’s remarkable goal-line clearance that kept well in control of the contest.

Having won the first-leg in Paris, the Bavarians made sure the visitors would have no chance of getting back in the game with Mbappe and Messi laboring in PSG’s attack for most of the contest with no cutting edge.

Last season Paris Saint-Germain failure to go past the last 16 after losing dramatically to eventual winners Real Madrid saw Mauricio Pochettino dismissed.

PSG comfortably sit at the summit of Ligue 1 with eight points lead but Christophe Galtier may suffer similar fate following their disappointing exit once has rendered them incapable of winning an elusive European Crown.
