Arsene Wenger Believes Arsenal ‘Can Go All The Way’ To Win the Premier League
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes the Gunners can go all the way to win the Premier League title following their seven-point lead at the summit.
Arsenal took full advantage of Manchester City’s slip up as they thumped Brighton and Hove Albion 4-2 at the Amex Stadium to stretch their lead at the top.
Wenger was in charge when Arsenal won the league in the 2003/04 season but has since failed to come any close, however their strong start to the campaign has left fans salivating about the possibility.
Arsenal started the game against Brighton on the front foot and never looked back, a very uncharacteristic traits in the past but a common theme this season.
And Wenger believes with that winning mentality, Arteta’s men are capable of maintaining their title push, “It was a fantastic performance, Arsenal are getting stronger and stronger” the veteran manager told TV2.
He added “It was a one way street. I think they have all the necessary ingredients, both tactically and mentally”
“They can go all the way because as you can see, they create so many chances. I don’t really see any weaknesses “
Bukayo Saka put the visitors ahead under two minutes while captain Martin Ødegaard doubled the lead just before the break.
Eddie Nkatiah and Gabriel Martinelli netted two second half goals to prevent any drama as Brighton tried in a failed attempt to stage a comeback.
Wenger was quite impressed by ødegaard’s decision making “He makes decisions quickly and always optimally. It’s remarkable” he said.
