Poul Pogba Sustains Yet Another Injury — Juve

Paul Pogba has sustained yet another injury and could be sidelined for up to a month as a result of his latest problem with Juventus growing increasingly worried about his fitness.

Since his return to Turin from Manchester United in July 2022, Pogba has been injured for most of the season and has made only two appearances for Juventus.

In his first stint with the Serie A giants between 2012 and 2016, Pogba made over 120 appearances before opting to join Manchester United.

The Frenchman rejoined Juventus last summer on a four-year but has been injury prone since his return. Just two weeks after his return he injured his knee and needed a surgery that ruled him out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 29-year-old eventually came back from injury last week but was axed from the squad for their Europa League clash with Freiburg after turning up late for a team meeting. His lifestyle during his time away from the pitch has been a concern for senior staff at Juventus.

Pogba was due to make a cameo in their Serie A fixture against Sampdoria on Sunday before injury ruled him out. Juve won the game 4-2.

Juventus have confirmed that the midfielder ‘has suffered a low-grade injury to the adductor of his right thigh’, and has already started the rehabilitation process.

Speaking after their win over Sampdoria, manager Massimiliano Allegri told DAZN: “This morning Pogba was taking free kicks and felt a twinge in his adductor. He will have tests tomorrow but will certainly not be there on Thursday or next Sunday so we’ll see him after the break for international duty.”

The World Cup winner with France is expected to be out for three to four weeks.
