Liverpool Completely Destroy Man United Following 7-0 Mauling

Liverpool completely destroyed Manchester United following their stunning 7-0 victory at Anfield on Sunday, inflicting on the Red Devils their worst defeat since losing with the same margin to Wolves on Boxing Day in 1931.

The scoreline is the largest win by either side in the entire 211 fixture’s history.

Two goals each from Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohammed Salah and another from substitute Roberto Firmino ensured Liverpool entered the seventh heavens. Mo Salah’s own brace made him became Liverpool’s record Premier League scorer.

Man United had just lifted their first trophy in six years under Dutch tactician Erik ten Hag and have been in a devastating form since the beginning of the season which is in stark contrast to Liverpool’s stuttering form.

The cliche that games of this kind does not take into consideration form-guide was proven right as Liverpool ran riot and hammered United with seven unanswered goals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have struggled for most of the season but appear to be on the mend at just the right time.

Erik ten Hag’s side were well in the game in opening 45 minutes but completely capitulated after the restart, conceding SIX times, having conceded only one few minutes before halftime.

The result has moved the Reds to just three points off the Champions League spots while United maintained their third place but with their fanciful title challenge in limbo.
