Ronaldo Signs For Al-Nassr In A €200 Million Deal
Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a €2000 million deal for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr that will see him become the highest paid footballer in in history.
The Portuguese superstar parted ways with Manchester United following his bombshell tell-it-all interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo’s choice though has come under scrutiny after he has always wanted to play top flight football — but maybe, just maybe, the deal was too good to ignore.
The contract agreement is reportedly valid for two and a half years and his earnings including a commercial deal will be close to to €200 per year making it the biggest salary ever in football.
As part of the mouthwatering deal Ronaldo is set to take up an ambassadorial role to help push Saudi Arabia’s joint bid with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup.
Al-Nassr is one of Saudi’s Pro League successful clubs, having won the top-flight nine times with their most recent triumph in 2019.
The 37-year-old’s second spell with the Red Devils hit rock bottom after he fell out with manager Erik Ten Hag and subsequently ‘tarnished the club’s image’ during his controversial interview with two months ago leading to the mutual termination of his contract.
