Atletico confirmed that Chelsea will not buy Joao Felix

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that Chelsea will not buy out striker Joao Felix on loan from the Madrid club.

“We have been told that Pochettino is not counting on Felix at Chelsea. João will come back to us. Let’s see what happens next, we don’t have any plans yet,” journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Cerezo as saying.

Felix joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023. The 23-year-old Portuguese has scored 4 goals in 20 appearances for the London team.

The Transfermarkt.com portal estimates the value of the player at 50 million euros, his contract with Atletico is valid until the end of June 2027.
