In the second half of the game, Red Devils midfielder Christian Eriksen appeared on the field. The 31-year-old Dane missed two months due to an ankle injury.
Manchester United scored 56 points and climbed to third place in the Premier League, ahead of Newcastle (53 points and one match in reserve). Everton with 27 points occupies the 16th line of the Premier League standings.
