Erik ten Hag Criticizes Ronaldo For Leaving Old Trafford Early Before Full-Time

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo’s behavior calling ‘unacceptable’ after the Portuguese superstar left Sunday’s friendly earlier than expected.

The 37-year old played the entire first 45 minutes but made way for 20-year old Amad Diallo who got the only goal for United. The game ended 1-1 after Alvaro Garcia Rivera equalized for Vallecano later in the game.

Ronaldo left Sunday’s friendly against Laliga side Rayo Vallecano midway through the second half and was later pictured outside Old Trafford signing autographs for fans.

Erik ten Hag was obviously not impressed by Ronaldo’s premature departure. He was quoted as saying “Certainly not, that is unacceptable. For everyone. I told them that it’s unacceptable. That we are a team, a squad. And that you should stay until the end.”

Last season Ronaldo was the Red Devils top scorer with 24 goals. He is however attempting a move away from Old Trafford in order to play champions league football, but a number of European clubs have distanced themselves from signing him.
